State Senate Candidates Forum This Wednesday, January 6
Sulzer Regional Library
4455 N. Lincoln Ave.
7:00 p.m.
Featuring 7th District Democratic primary hopefuls Sen. Heather Steans and Jim Madigan, the event is co-sponsored by the Edgewater Community Council and
Northside Democracy for America
.
Program Notes:
(1) The program will begin with a brief introduction by former State Senate candidate Suzanne Elder. Candidates will each have five-minutes for opening statements by the candidates. Questions from the audience, written on index cards, will be solicited at check-in and during the event. The Q&A portion of the program will be moderated by Northside DFA chair, Sandra Verthein. A reception will follow.
(2) In the interest of full disclosure, the Madigan campaign introduced this event's organizers to a representative from Join the Impact (see:
http://jointheimpact.com
). We welcome an introduction from the Steans campaign for another co-sponsor that they would like to include in this event.
(3) Sulzer Regional Library is not located in the 7th District (identified by the pink circle on the attached map). It is the only library proximate to the district that is open on Wednesday evenings. It is also particularly convenient for district voters using public transportation Three stops on the CTA brown line are nearby and the Ravenswood Metra stop at Lawrence is within walking distance (identified by green squares).
