Founded in 1960, the Edgewater Community Council, Inc., (ECC) is a voluntary membership organization formed to improve the quality of life of the diverse Edgewater Community. ECC is dedicated to serve all the people of Edgewater whom comprise a mosaic of various racial, ethnic and socio-economic groups, multiple faiths and political views. ECC encourages the maximum participation of residents to promote the physical, educational, cultural, recreational, social, charitable and economic development of the community.
Since its founding, ECC has worked closely with block clubs, the business community, elected officials and our fellow neighbors to improve and advance the quality of life in Edgewater. Dedicated ECC volunteers join together to benefit our entire unique, diverse and vibrant community.
The Edgewater Community Council (ECC) is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit and voluntary membership organization founded in 1960 to improve the quality of life in the diverse Edgewater Community. The Edgewater community is located between Foster Avenue(5200N) and Devon Avenue (6400N), and between Lake Michigan and Ravenswood Avenue (1800W).
